Getting There

The workshop will be held at University College, 15 King's College Circle at the University of Toronto in the heart of Toronto. 

​

Air travel

Toronto Pearson Airport is the major airport with connections to Toronto. From Pearson, downtown Toronto is accessible via train (Union Pearson Express) or taxi. 

​

Billy Bishop Airport is located on the edge of downtown Toronto and serves destinations mostly in the east of Canada and the USA. From Billy Bishop, you are a quick taxi or transit ride from the conference venue. 

​

From Union Station

Taxis are available out front of Union Station on Front St. Uber is also available. 

 

There is a subway stop at Union Station (follow signs for TTC).

​

The Toronto subway system ('The TTC') connects most of the major locations in the downtown and surrounding areas. The cost is $3.25 for a single fare. The nearest subway station to the conference is St. George, with exits onto St. George St, Bedford Rd, and into the OISE building.

Evergreen Brick Works

Old City Hall

Osgoode Hall

Toronto Islands

Activities everyone can enjoy for a fun-filled day! The Toronto Islands provide a great, refreshing escape from downtown with a beautiful view of Lake Ontario on one side, and the city skyline on the other. Take the ferry from Queen’s Quay for $7.25 (return trip) to one of the three docks on the islands (trip takes approx. 15 min one way). Admittedly a more interesting visit in the warmer months, but November will see fewer people on the islands, and a beautiful view of the skyline.
